Through
a partnership with other Spanish companies, L.T.
has access and can supply new (never-used) surplus parts and equipment
originally destined to the Lemoniz 1 & 2 and Valdecaballeros 1
& 2 nuclear power plants, which construction has been cancelled. The
Lemoniz units are 900 MWe three-loops Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR)
of Westinghouse design (similar to the North Anna units). The
Valdecaballeros units are 975 MWe Mark 3 Boiling Water Reactors (BWR)
of General Electric design. The
parts and equipment are individually identified, inventoried, stored
and maintained in a clean and dry condition under strict Quality Control
surveillance. Although
the two plants are located in Spain, design, manufacturing and quality
assurance of the parts and equipment have followed USA nuclear codes
and standards (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, NRC Regulatory Guides, etc.). Original
data-packages and certificates are available and are delivered with
the parts and equipment. L.T. can search and check the availability
and completeness of the documentation for you, before the transaction
is finalized. The
parts and equipment are sold "as is", however through our
partnership with ENSA,
we are in position to offer optional inspection, testing and re-qualification
to later code requirements. Some
heavy components, such as the Lemoniz Reactor Pressure Vessel, Steam
Generators, Pressurizer, R.C. Piping, etc., have been cut into manageable
sections and can be used as mock-ups for In-service Inspection, testing,
repairs, etc. We
can provide detailed inventories of the Lemoniz and Valdecaballeros
parts and equipment, however, it may be difficult for you to find
what you are looking for. Also it may be possible that some of the
inventoried items are no longer available. For this we will be glad
to make the search for you and if what you are looking for is available,
